Silverstone Museum hosted PA Life Club members for a unforgettable Fam Trip. The museum – one of Graysons managed venues – is located within the iconic Silverstone Circuit and makes a truly impressive event and celebration space.

35 of our Club members arrived at Silverstone on Friday afternoon, January 12th, to experience what the museum can offer as an events venue. We were met by Katya and Karina from the Graysons Venues event team at Northampton station where most of us had travelled to from London Euston, just an hour away. The final leg of the journey was a 20 minute coach ride to the famous circuit, with the first stop at the recently built Hilton Garden Inn. Time for a quick check-in and refresh, and the compulsory photos of the track of course. Easily done as some of us had a track-side room which comes with a balcony. What a perfect spot for race viewing!

The evening’s programme, including a dinner at the museum awaited. We took the coach to cover the short distance from the hotel – it is walkable but we appreciated the ride as were dressed to party and the tarmac isn’t made for heels.

As soon as you step off the coach you feel part of the racing world with Silverstone branded Aston Martin cars parked by the entrance. Once inside the museum you are amongst the displays of F1 cars and other impressive motorsport memorabilia. We started our tour upstairs in the events suite where we were welcomed by drinks and delicious canapes. The CEO of Silverstone Museum, Phil Lawrie, welcomed us with a very informative talk about the circuit, the museum and what it has to offer as a venue for corporate events and hospitality.

Exploring Silverstone Museum

We really thrilled to have a good hour to take in the extensive museum that combines history, interactive experiences, film and amazing displays of cars, motorcycles and memorabilia from over 75 years of motorsport. It also has an interesting section about its RAF days.

There are ten unique zones including racing simulators which were great fun to try, but difficult to master. We competed against the clock and declared Zoe Lawrence the fastest Club member. There is also a tech lab where you can really learn about how engines and the other mechanics work. You can also admire plenty of cars, displays of racing legends from F1, motorcycles and other motorsports.

In total there are over 60 interactive displays, one taking you behind-the-scenes in an interactive race day experience. You can finish your tour with The Ultimate Lap in the special-effects cinema.

Plus, on select days you can take the outdoor heritage walk and get up close to the track. The Silverstone Museum is a great day out for your teams.

Silverstone Museum Hospitality was superbly managed by Graysons

Graysons Venues manage the hospitality at Silverstone Museum and are known for excellent catering, and for their well trained and attentive staff. We were all looking forward to our three-course dinner which was served amongst the museum exhibits. Najlaa El-Alami, Head of Group Sales and Marketing welcomed us warmly to enjoy the end of our evening. We were in for more than a dinner as Najlaa, a true disco diva, and her team had arranged a DJ to entertain us during and after dinner. The PA Life Club members didn’t shy away from the dance floor and we danced between the courses and until the DJ could take no more. It was a brilliant evening and a great way to see how a celebration or dinner can be enjoyed with little limitations despite the previous displays surrounding the guests.

For starters we had Smoked Salmon, Preserved Lemon and Cream Cheese Bruschetta. I very much enjoyed the sharpness of the lemon in the smoked salmon mousse. The vegan option was Baked Hummus & Spiced Squash on Sourdough.

The main course of Corn Fed Chicken Supreme , Blueberry Sauce, Parisienne Mash and Roaster Seasonal Vegetables was simply delicious. Or vegan option of Miso Infused Celeriac Steaks, Pomme Puree, Gochujan Sauteed Vegetables.

To finish the meal we had a choice of a Lemon & Blueberry Bakewell Tart, Elderflower Italian Meringue or Pan Seared Pineapple Pomegranate Molasses and Vegan Ice Cream. Classic desserts with a modern twist, beautifully presented and gorgeous flavours.
